SupraStar 3000
not bad I thought. Sure,... another case of really cool idea but lacking a plot, but for entertainment I thought it was very good. The ghost town bit was really cool
Ewen
Not a patch on the original IMO.....too much gore not enough atmosphere. Still, it earned me a cuddle from the traumatised wife, and son paid for the rental.

Homer
Agree with Ewen, original was good and pretty scary for its time. The latest one was quite poor by comparison, at least in the old version the characters actions could be justified.. in the modern one they storyline just seemed randomly strung together in order to get a few mild shock scenes to happen. Unfortunately this is the same for pretty much all US "Horror" films these days (though there are thankfully the odd exceptions).

Bobbeh
The story was orginally based on a family in Scotland I believe.

Bobbeh
" The men had their hands and feet severed and were allowed to bleed to death, and the women and children, after watching the men die, were burned alive." That'll put an end to many of the toubles of today

lust2luv
The remake must break the record for the number of people hit in the head with pickaxes. Thought it was on a par with the original.

Ewen
My wife thought the bit where the petrol station owner shot his head off was particularly well done...an excellent piece of movie making. She also expressed enlightened suprise as to just how much blood a budgie contained.
