garethr
That's why they introduced photo licences, and why they have been working on image recognition cameras..... although it will all be unnecessary when all vehicles are fitted with "Intelligent Speed Adaptation" (and we are fitted with transponders). imi
With SAT-NAV being standard in the future in all cars, insurance being PAYG via GPS based systems there will be no need for speed cameras anymore as our own cars will report back when we overspeed. imi
As i'm notgonna spend all that money on a car that does silly leptons, Just to stick to 30 well the general rule is that its 30 in built-up areas, 70s on dual carraigways and motorways - unless stated otherwise. you might find this link useful
Alan999
A bloke i work with got done for speeding with one of the newer cams that gets you going towards it. He tryed to get away with it and say he did'nt no who was driving but they showed him the pic and he said you could have told the time on his watch it was that good a pic! Markie
They can kiss my a$$ if they bring in anymore monitoring on speed. Speed traps cause more close shaves than anything on the road! People just jamming the brakes on when seeing them. Also, odd how I saw more speed vans than normal on the roads Bank Holiday Monday. Sure, the speed traps are not for more revenue - Honest!!! Annoys me!
Terminator
There is a way to stop being identified the id front image as long as you know the camera is there. Not for this section though.

KaoriFan
or use another Supra owners number plate on your car j/k seriously, i never understood why they are so hot on speeding, when it's dangerous/incompetent driving that is the problem. speed doesn't kill, it can't do, unless the car rolls down a hill with a handbrake fault. the driver is the person who makes the decision to speed, not the car. maybe if cameras were more intelligent to catch tailgating and other offences, that would help. there should be some common sense in relation to speeding. someone going down the M1 at 120mph in early hours is not the same as someone doing 50 or 60mph in a 30 zone in a built up area at school time. with regard to the law why do some driving ban's run at same time someone may be in prison, surely it should start from day they are released, unless i am mising something. i always wondered what would happen if you drove around a speed camera (not actually past the camera), and then reversed down the road where it hasn't seen you and then reverse through the camera zone. would you get a negative speed value, so you have a credit next time you get caught j/k
