I say vent them, but also if you want more of a change, lose the front over-fenders and blend the back ones, I think that'd look pretty good.

 

Edit: just looked at the pic closer and noticed the rear over-fenders are blended! halfway there already!!

...buy some spare wings (only cheap),

 

vent them (just your own time as you said),

get them sprayed at same time as unvented ones, (ok, bit of extra cost, but who cares)

 

then you can swap! lol

Rear overfenders are being cut off, brought out 2" and made bigger, then re-moulded to the car to fit 12" wide wheels and some 315 profile tyres

Can't swap the wings as I've moulded my skirts and overfenders to the car to give a sleeker look. Good idea though.

And as for tyres... well I went to college with the guy that runs my local kwik fit. I save over a £100 a tyre

It looks good as it is fella, though its your choice in the end. You've made a great job of the rest of the car, so there's no reason why the vents won't look as good.
