terribleturner
So i've heard it talked about before and noticed some in a car accessories shop, but do people and have people used those cans of foam or whatever's in them to help when you get a flat tyre?? If so did it work?? Which one did you use/carry?? And what is it??
penguin
hmm... i have seen em but would much rather carry a spare tyre - you'll be up shit creek if your side walls wide open
terribleturner
Very true. My problem is that the car is very low and i have to put the scissor jack in at an angle which makes winding it up the biggest pain in the arse ever. Just been looking at these..... http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Pressure_Guard.html
Gamer
I carry a can of foam James. I have no room for the spare in the boot because of my battery and I also have the same problem with jacking the car up. It is impossible with the standard jack.... In fact it is near enough impossible with any floor jack apart from the ultra flat trolley jacks. (read £££) That is really only of use to someone at home or work because it will never fit in the Supra..
terribleturner
Have you ever had to use it yet Joe??
Gamer
Nope, not yet. Fingers crossed I never will have to but that coupled with my AA cover should get me out of most situations.
Rich
running a can of foam too ,not had a flat yet so dont know what its like to use.
Muffleman
Yeah I run a can of foam. Had to buy another one as on the way home from halfords, I dropped it. It's like buttered bread always lands butter side down, the can of foam landed on the button ! I spose the mountains of foam over my path was funny to some people
Ben-san
James, Arghjae had a flat that was repaired temporarily with the stuff - though it wasn't from sidewall damage. I carry a can of the Holts stuff too.
JamieP
Ive used it a few times on motorbikes and it worked 50% of the time.

Miguel
These are handy. Come in a lot of new cars that don't have spares. Little compressor with a built in canister of foam/glue that powers of your ciggie ligher. Pumps the tyre and fills it with foam at the same time. http://bmwofcolumbus.com/Images/Picture/2005/June/lg_Mobility%20Kit.jpg
DannyW
Yep, my other halfs Golf R32 comes with the foam and a compressor pump as standard as there is no room for a spare due to the 4 wheel drive system being in the way.
