TigerT76
Looking at the Tein Super Streets and would appreciate any feedback/advise? Don't want a bumpy ride, but would like the car to feel a bit more sturdy when cornering. Any other opinions welcome??
wkdtime
Not heard much good things about Tein, prone to leaking so i'm told.
Thorin
Get Chris Wilson's suspension setup, as recommended by lots of members.
Nic
Not heard much good things about Tein, prone to leaking so i'm told. The older models maybe, the new Tein coilovers such as the Super Streets and Flex are fine. I've sold loads of sets of Super Streets and only had positive feedback. They seem to be well suited to UK roads, ie. good balance between comfort and performance.

AMG
I have the Flex, very good units. Perhaps slightly too hard for your needs but with the edfc controller, you can change the settings easily to make it harder and softer etc.
Lebsteif
What about the heigt adjustment, is that easy to change while they are on the car?
gaz1
yeah you get a big spanner with the kit, you do need to take the wheels off to adjudt height though

Gaz Walker
Not heard much good things about Tein, prone to leaking so i'm told. Hi mate, Someone's telling stories then! We've sold these for 3 years now and I've only ever had one shock back and that wasn't due to leaking. These are a very reliable shock and excellent VFM. Gaz. Animal
I've been running Super Streets now for about a year and have had no problems at all with 'em. Good height adjustment, good rebound adjustment (with an EDFC this'd be superb as you could have 3 setings programmed in for fast cruising, hard driving & driving with the g/f in car, lol). Good kit, I'd recommend it.
albundy68
a long long time ago i heard of a few leaking on the supe, but none for years and years. the fto people really rate teins, ive never understood why it has such a bad rep with supes. mwilkinson
I have Tein Flex with EDFC. Not had any problems so far and they are easy to adjust - adjusted them last week for a slightly higher ride, which only took 40mins. Obviously slightly harder than standard suspension, but there there to improve performance and will therefore be slightly harder. The roads I drive on are probably the worst in the SE (Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey border, where no ones takes ownership of the roads and thus they have started to dissolve!!!) and they manage just fine!! Twin Turbo Jim
Looking at the Tein Super Streets and would appreciate any feedback/advise? Don't want a bumpy ride, but would like the car to feel a bit more sturdy when cornering. Any other opinions welcome?? Ive got these on my n/a and the handling is awsome they easily out do my mate in his skyline hes so jealous of them. But they are a bit harsh on the road, you can feel every bump, but you get used to it.
zorglub
the street are softer than the flex for a daily driver ?
Nic
the street are softer than the flex for a daily driver ? They both use the same spring rate and both can be adjusted from road comfort or track use. The Flex has different set up for adjusting ride height and pre-load, they are also better constructed compared to the SS. In terms of value for money, the Super Streets are very hard to beat for general road use full adjustable coilover. The Flex would be a better choice if you're in track days. http://www.tein.com/flexdamp.html http://www.tein.com/ss1damp.html http://www.tein.com/ti/l18.html
