razza
Just fitted the restrictor ring on the exhaust, does the ring replace the smaller ring already in the exhaust (looks kind of like a gasket), or does it go in as well as? This was in between the first de-cat pipe and the middle section of exhaust, not the top end of the de-cat pipe by the engine. If it goes in as well as can someone let me know which way the lip round the ring should face, i.e. forwards or back as it fell out when I removed the bolts and didn't catch sight of which way round it was. cheers
merckx
I'm not sure which way the gasket goes - I cannot remember, you can dispense with it. Just use some exhaust assembly paste between the joints to give you a good seal.
razza
where's a good place to get some of this paste? will halfords do it?
merckx
You might have got some by now, I get mine from my local car accessory shop. Not sure about Halfords.
razza
Halfords did the job, just need to find a quiet strip of road to test out the boost now. Do I need to reset the boost controller now it's running at different levels, i.e. has restriction on it in the form of the ring and is now fully decatted?
