guye_d
Hi Guys, Have a BPU 98 j-spec TT, and it appears that the clutch is beginning to go. Any advice on the best clutch kit for this application? The car is daily driven, therefore, I would prefer something manageable. Thanks Dudley
guye_d
Also Guys. Please indicate what other parts need changing along with the clutch. I don't really intend on buying a lightened flywheel... can I re-use the stock one currently on the car?
colsoop
Hello there The Stock clutch would be more than man enough unless you have plans for a single conversion. How many miles has your car done if it is 60 k + i would do the flywheel at the same time.? Also change the gearbox fluid (V160 only) and while in the air the diff oil as well. Thorin
Chris Wilson does an uprated stock clutch that comes highly recommended.

little num
i have recently installed a centreforce duel friction clutch as my brother has 1 installed in his single and so does uk rich, im running bpu also and have found this to be very simular to original, as in pedal feels the same and i easy to drive once worn in 1000 miles or so, these are inported from america and is about £500 - 550 at the moment due to sterling being crap. But this clutch is good for 600 horse and same torque. I have oder numbers and contact information here for centreforce if you wish to contact them. ClaireRZ-S
i went for the rps streetmax 6puk clutch with stock flywheel even though i'm running bpu i'd like to do a few drag runs to see how i get on and i hope this clutch will last for quite some time. little num
Cheers for that Does the flywheel rattle on this kit at idle? This kit only include's pressure plate and clutch plate, NOT flywheel, if your flywheel rattles now then yes it will, but if you flywheel is ok then it should make diffrance at all. Mine rattles when i turn the engine off and slightly in reverse but thats it.
