Daston
Hi guys As many of you know my turbo dosn't clear my distributor without changing/modding my manifold so I thought the easy thing to do is get shot of it and get one with a smaller intake. I am open to offers however postage isn't going to be cheap (dont mind meeting people half way within reason). Ok so about the turbo I bought this from XS-Power in the states and it has only been rested on my manifold when testing the fitting the full spec of the turbo is as follows (hope you guys understand this cause I dont ) T04"P" Turbo Super T61 Turbo MODEL ST1 T4 FOOTPRINT .68T COMPRESSOR HOUSING .84 A/R TURBINE HOUSING 4" INLET SUPER HYBRID T61 SPECS Turbine Wheel: Exducer 2.54" Mayor 2.89" Compressor Wheel Super TO4E: Exducer 2.40" Mayor 3.58" Turbine Housing .84 Divided Flange Compressor Housing .70 4" Inlet I am willing to swap it for an Emanage or Apexi AFC or even a genuine HKS SSQV BOV or Greddy RS BOV If you need anymore info I will try to find out for ya
JustGav
Why not rotate the snail and put a 90 degree hard bend on the snail output which can then route to the intercooler?
Daston
its the intake thats the problem as I cant get the intake pipe on there as the distributor is in the way
Bob
Couldn't you swap the distributor with one of those electrical ignition thingymabobs that Demon Tweeks sells? :edit: Never mind, my brains not working properly today.
bromy
I dont think its your turbo that is the problem, if you look at that second to last piccie even if you have a 3" inlet it will only bring clearance in by 12.7mm on the side of the dizzy and still looks if it will catch, are you sure the manifold you got is not for a vvti?, I would be tempted to weld a plate onto the manifold mount where the turbo mounts to rotate it slightly as the 3" inlet is very weedy and looks crap wish I had gone for the 4" option from boostlogic
Daston
If I got a new T4 plate welded on at an angle I would need a new downpipe any idea how much one of these would cost?

Daston
can that be done? I have heard the US guys getting rid of it but surly that cant be cheap (not that I am cutting corners but I do have a budget)
Terminator
Looks like it is the metal sheild causing the most problems. You may be able to cut and roll the shield and get a custom made silicon pipe to slightly bend past the distributor. SFS Performance will make anything, but they are 9-10 weeks on back order, due to a huge overseas demand. Good prices too. http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/
Terminator
Looking more closely at the dizzy, I am sure more space could be gained by ditching the clips onthe leads. You could always mini tie wrap them to they can't come off. With a combination of that and a shield modification and a custom bend, I think you would be sorted. We had to have several custom hoses made up for the Skyline/200SX project. We also used a few parts from other makes of car. Rover Toyota and Volvo.
