merckx
I've just fitted a new graphics card, the old one was faulty. I installed the drivers that came with it. But the problem I've got is when I scroll up and down the screen using the wheel on the mouse there is a delay and it's almost like a wave moving up and down. It's very irritating, any help would be appreciated. I've tried messing with the settings in the display section of the control panel without success. MrRalphMan
Were you able to de-install the previous drivers before installing the new card. What models were they and what OS are you running? Any additional info would be helpful. Can you try to explain more about the wave effect?
merckx
It appears to have sorted itself out somehow, cheers. Windows XP installed the driver twice for some reason, so I removed one. It rebooted itself unexpectedly about 10 minutes later, when it started up it says it was optimising settings. Weird, I've never had this happen before. It's normally straight forward. MrRalphMan
Glad to hear that it's sorted.. Would still be interested in what model of GC you put in.
Daston
yeah when its jerky like that tends to mean that the gfx card hasnt got the drivers installed or they are buggered. Its best to down load "driver cleaner" to clear any bits from the old drivers before installing the new one just to get max performance

Gamer
You should also visit the ATI site and get the latest drivers. The ones that come on the CD are usually outdated.
