Graphics card help!

Recommended Posts

I've just fitted a new graphics card, the old one was faulty.

I installed the drivers that came with it.

But the problem I've got is when I scroll up and down the screen using the wheel on the mouse there is a delay and it's almost like a wave moving up and down.

It's very irritating, any help would be appreciated. :)

I've tried messing with the settings in the display section of the control panel without success.

It appears to have sorted itself out somehow, cheers. :)

Windows XP installed the driver twice for some reason, so I removed one.

It rebooted itself unexpectedly about 10 minutes later, when it started up it says it was optimising settings.

Weird, I've never had this happen before. It's normally straight forward.

yeah when its jerky like that tends to mean that the gfx card hasnt got the drivers installed or they are buggered. Its best to down load "driver cleaner" to clear any bits from the old drivers before installing the new one just to get max performance

Would still be interested in what model of GC you put in.

A cheap one, it's all I need. :)

256MB ATI CONNECT3D RADEON 9550

I didn't know that was possible, cheers. :)
