CJ
Imagine if a TT auto car had been changed to a 5 speed and had also had a single turbo fitted. If the EMS was kept as a stock(?) what would the outcome be? Sounds silly I know but I do have my reasons for asking.
Jake
Gearbox-wise it would work fine. The guy who did the auto to 6sp conversion ddn't change the ECU from the auto one. Did you mean 5sp or 6sp? I can't see a NA 5sp box lasting long on a Single powered Supra
CJ
It would work fine But wouldnt the ECU be looking for change points for the TT system?
Jake
See: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/auto_to_6spd_swap/inside/index.html 8) (Optional) 6spd ecu, your supra will run fine on the auto ecu, but I do recommend the 6spd ecu, it will control your engine better, ignition timing and other engine functions will be tunned to your 6spd transmission. The auto ecu is known to pull timing at shift points.

LeeT
There would be strange points where the Auto ECU pulled timing for gearchanges etc

Shaun.
One, nearly, for each day of the week Class Colin. Are you buying up the second hand Supra market in an attempt to stop the decline of resale prices ? Shaun.

CJ
I would be intrested in knowing what sort of power this is running and what type of clutch is in there I doubt I will find out to be honest (power wise that is) as I would be looking to change the box.
