LeeT
Hahahaha, I probably know one of the MOD guys who pull you over as well.... wankers they don't bother me with my little plate on though
Suprash
They dont bother me normally, but once more and Im kissing my private reg good bye..........I cant afford that....... Lee, yeah twice in Basingstoke now, first let me off saying traffic cops will have you, decent chap I thought The other was in Portsmouth as someone has pointed out, seems to be the hot spots..... Class one, would they buy that, say it was cracked with the odd broken plastic screw, claiming random pigeon attack. I really dont want to loose my reg and if I have to I will do whats needed, but Im just really not keen on having a door hanging off the front...... Looks like Im off to get a larger one made up and see how good i can get it looking...... Pneumoni, Yeah its small but front facing cameras can still read it, I have been caught this way before, I mean with todays digital photos that can be enlarged, not that they have to as proven already...... What about bikes no one has answered that, do they have front number plates ?
terribleturner
Just get the square one Ash and put it over the fog light space. I don't have one on at all but carry 2 in the car. One brand new and one smashed
TLicense
What is the letter of the law regarding no. plat size then? I seem to remember there being something about you can have a smaller plate if a standard plate won't fit in the holder (which it won't on mine, which has the stock holder but it sticks out the sides and underneath) and the lettering can be no smaller than X. Can anyone find that link to the VOSA site that explains the in's and out's of it all?
Jake
What about bikes no one has answered that, do they have front number plates ?Bikes haven't had front plates for donkey's years, since the 1970s I think. The police have suggested reintroducing them but currently you're not actually allowed a front plate on a motorbike for "safety" reasons. Lee, yeah twice in Basingstoke now, first let me off saying traffic cops will have you, decent chap I thought The other was in Portsmouth as someone has pointed out, seems to be the hot spots..... I had the same thing in Basingstoke, they puleed me up to check the car wasn't stolen. The bloke then said that the traffic police would fine me for not having a plate then let me got on my way. What about bikes no one has answered that, do they have front number plates ? When i had my 300zx, i went into Halfords in Basingstoke and told them i wanted a motorbike sized plate for the front and they made me one up. Ive attached a pic http://hometown.aol.co.uk/LEE2SARE/300zx.JPG
martin_a
Exactly best you can do is a bike plate i think. Option 2 carry it around in the boot, attachable with velcro... "Just on my way back from a show officer, forgot to swap the show plate i'll stick the proper one on now" see how you go. It'll have to get a bit bigger though, they can be ok if you bend the rules but the one on there now ties a knot in them. m.
