Disk and calliper upgrade

You may also want to investigate any other parts that might need replacing, as the braking balance of the EuroSpec is different to that of the JSpec. Traction Control on EuroSpec uses the brakes as well, so that complicates things further still.

Most people just slap on disks, pads, spacers and calipers and hope for the best. This might be much better than the JSpec setup, but maybe not up to the stock big brake setup.

The "UK Spec" brakes were a factory option on a J Spec car anyway so I wouldn't concern myself too much if I was doing the swap.

I've not seen any master cylinder differences between mine and my brother's car using the EPC. I have factory fitted UK specs and he has J specs.

The brake master cylinders are different on the cars with the bigger brakes fitted from the factory. I have seen the master cylinder flex a lot on some of the Supras that have retro fitted the bigger brakes. A new master cylinder and a brace for the master cylinder would be a good idea.

Andy if you want prices for the larger brakes let me know, as I can do very good deals on them.

The UK upgrade has been discussed many times. The cylinder upgrade has not been done very often, as it is not necessary.

As far as I know no one has gone all the way and replaced the whole sytem including the TC element as there are better and cheaper ways to get TC.

I have had UK brakes on my car for four years now, used fast road and track in an auto so heavier use than a 6. I have never had a problem with brake blance or any other aspect of braking.

Some people just change the fronts as the balance only really come in to play at low speeds.

Even with stock pads expect a considrable improvement in braking
