veilsideTT
Hi all. I’ve had a new short block. Come to put the Oil pressure sensor into the new block and "Hold On A Minute" the hole is massive now. Looked at the old block "Small Hole" What’s going on?? Was there some update on the block where they decided to change this part?? Is there some sort of adapter I can use? Bit like a bolt that fits the new size hole with the original thread of the pressure sensor drilled into the end of it? HELP PLEASE SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!! Supra ST Myster
Post up a picture of your oil pressure sensor and the new whole that it needs to go into with the diameter sizes as i have something that may help.
Adam W
You can get adaptors for exactly this kind of thing, you will need to know the thread and pitch of the old hole and the new hole though.
veilsideTT
I posted this same question on Supraforums. Someone on there told me that it was a 14X1.5 thread. I found a Tap and tried it for size and it was slightly too small. I think it would be a 15 or 16 but i cant be sure as i dont have a 15or16X1.5 tap to try in there! Also was told that the Oil pressure sensor thread was a 1/8 NPT. Whatever that means! Would pics still help Supra TT myster. If so i can try and sort them out. Cheers Scott

Supra ST Myster
thread size of one on left is just roughly 1.2mm, thats very rough
veilsideTT
I have tried a 17mm and was too big. The 14mm was too small which leaves me with 15mm and 16mm to choose from. Where did these come from. Are they readily availible or did you get them custom made?

veilsideTT
Didnt realise there was one. I know they moved it (I think) But didnt know the fitment had changed. Hopefully the Adapter should be cheaper than a new sensor! Unlike you to rub shoulders with a UK'er dude?????!!!!! Or did you just feel sorry for me:D :D
