Oil Pressure Sensor wont fit new Block???

Hi all.

I’ve had a new short block. Come to put the Oil pressure sensor into the new block and "Hold On A Minute" the hole is massive now.

Looked at the old block "Small Hole"

What’s going on?? Was there some update on the block where they decided to change this part??

Is there some sort of adapter I can use?

Bit like a bolt that fits the new size hole with the original thread of the pressure sensor drilled into the end of it?

HELP PLEASE SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Scott

I posted this same question on Supraforums.

Someone on there told me that it was a 14X1.5 thread.

I found a Tap and tried it for size and it was slightly too small.

I think it would be a 15 or 16 but i cant be sure as i dont have a 15or16X1.5 tap to try in there!

Also was told that the Oil pressure sensor thread was a 1/8 NPT. Whatever that means!

Would pics still help Supra TT myster.

If so i can try and sort them out.

Cheers

Scott

I think im going to have to get someone round to measure this up properly for me as i have no clue when it comes to thread sizes and diameters.

I wish defi were so generous when i bought my Oil pressure gauge off them!! no such luck

Thanks for your help though dude. At least i know what sort of thing im looking for now!

Didnt realise there was one. I know they moved it (I think) But didnt know the fitment had changed.

Hopefully the Adapter should be cheaper than a new sensor!

Unlike you to rub shoulders with a UK'er dude?????!!!!!

Or did you just feel sorry for me:D :D :D
