silvershark44
my cars only done 60k too so it hasnt been changed ever, im know its due, just thought it looked imanent. Was hoping to leave it for another 1000 miles when changing the cam belt, is it worth doing the water pump at the same time?
Paul_SWZ
I would replace that mate as there is also a nick out of the belt at the top.
silvershark44
Oh yeah just noticed that nick in the belt, plus this is only 1 section, could be worse further round:eyebrows:

Sean1933
They always do mate, trust me i know! If i was you i would get it changes ASAP, dont bother with the waterpump as they are pretty robust. If your any good with a spanner then give it a go yourself, i did!
markssupra
If you dont mind getting your hands dirty, give it a go yourself. Cost about £28 for the belt and about £30 for 10 ltrs of coolant. I can lend you the tool for locking the crank pulley.
silvershark44
haha thank you for your confidence in my mechanical skills, but i think i might leave this one to mechanic. To say im hopeless at this kind of thing is an understatement! I know the theory of doing it, but i will f&ck it up, i always do with that kinda thing;)
