Andy Metcalfe
Having just spent a fortune on bits for my car it would seem that it still craves more attention! When warm and under heavy boost my car has now developed a mis-fire,not a big bad one admitedly but all the same something is not right! Don`t need any scare stories of engine rebuilds or turbo`s on the way out.........just some heartwarming advice like it`s only likely to be a plug going down or a lead maybe!!! Gonna go and take the plugs out now and see what they look like and in the meantime i pray that you guy`s (and the odd girl) can come up with something encouraging! P.S. The "odd girl comment" was not mean`t to be read as in"weird female!!" just thought i`d clear that up!!!
Ring Master
Good chance it will be plugs 8) NGK "R"'s would be ideal up to about 1.2kg, HKS S40's (grade8) if you run a little more. Gap 'em to .
Andy Metcalfe
Thanks mate!, just the kind of news i like. Don`t suppose you know a man that does plugs at a reasonable price do you?
Guest Ash
Sounds like you too have the dreaded high-boost missfire. You need to run 1 grade colder plugs and gap them to 0.85 mm. Justin can sort you a set of NGK's for about £20. Don't bother with the HKS ones unless you are feeling really flush. Yours, J
Andy Metcalfe
Justin-come sort me big boy!(no not in that way you sick perv!)
Phil Wall
Ash a serious question. Do you suggest that the NGK plugs will give the same performance and expected life as the other plugs around, costing 4 times as much? Is this a case of designer plugs!!! Guest Ash
Phil... a serious answer... yes. Yours, J

Phil Wall
So Andy we guessed right. Now you have just saved £££££'s on not replacing turbos or rebuilding that engine. I am sure there is an other littlle four wheeled project you could spend the money on;)
Andy Metcalfe
Phil I`m sure there is!! need to get in touch with the man first but in the meantime i might invest some of that cash into front and rear strut braces i think! Phil Wall
Andy I think you should post and describe the state of those plugs. From what you described to me it was a wonder the car ran at all.
