Bob
Wipe over with a soft rag and white spirits, then give a rub down with Farecla scratch remover or similar, then re-apply your polish and wax
JustGav
Don't use T-cut or those sorts of things, the abrasives in them don't break down at all... If you want to use something over the shelf, then I'd recommend meguairs Scratch-X to do the job properly...
jackso11
Meguairs Scratch-X...never hear of it. Is it good for an all over once over? or just small areas?
JustGav
Scratch-X is good for by hand... yes you can do the whole car with it....BUT to be honest... you are far better off getting a proper machine polish and getting someone with a machine giving it a once over.. doing an entire car with Scratch-X is hard work... with a random orbital polisher and something like SSR2.5 freshens the paint up and you can do it in about 3 hours... Big Ads
think a clay bar would do the trick. correct me if i'm wrong.
colsoop
Im not sure , maybe an agressive cut clay bar might. I would use Sonus SFX 2 it is clear coat safe and i think it would do the job fine.
Kevin Huntley
I used Autoglym bug and tar remover to remove any remaining residue. If the Vinyl was put on after a recent paint job the only way to fully remove it would be to re-spray the panel. I ended up doing this with my jeep after trying everything to remove it. JustGav
A claybar is used to pull little bits out of the lacquer... vinyls are more of a residue than anything else, bug and tar remover would work a treat as well actually.... and just pray there is not colour difference...
