PC Games with co op modes (LAN) - Any suggestions?

Hey all,

Just read another thread that mentioned co-op mode on pc games and how its not being included on so many nowadays.

I love a good bit of team play but cant be arsed to immerse myself in the world of online playing... I can't be arsed to get good enough to compete with the die hard fraternity that occupy most gaming lobbies.

I have played the following to death and would like more of the same really, FPS, RPG, RTS etc

Red Alert 2

Generals

Freelancer

Dungeon Siege 1 & 2

Hidden and Dangerous 1 & 2

Battlefield 1942

Unreal Tournament

Ground Control 2

Does anyone know of any games that I haven't listed that are worth a look for a bit of Co-op LAN action?

Serious Sam!

One of the best frantic co-op games ever! The amount of baddies you have to shoot is unbelievable. You get unlimited amount of lifes in co-op. You can save your position and continue next day where you left off...

Up to 6 or 8 player, dont know exactly how many...

Nah - I ran my own machine and 6 others from my aging PC quite happily with serious sam.

Is a *fantastic* co-op game though. We were calling out things like:

"Which way do I go?"

"Over there"

"Over where?"

"There! Look, I'll show the way with a large explosion"

*Kaboooooom*

We played the first and second encounters, but not Serious Sam 2 (few of us didn't have it). Just remember to crank the damage required for the enemies up to compensate for the extra players - it's at it's most fun when you all start with full backpacks and ammo for every gun, and then hold down the fire button until you're left with just bad language and hard looks to throw at the endless floods :D

one of the best ive played actually is a game called swat4

you and swat team down a load of terrorists, its extremely fun and is more than just shooting, as there is a lot of planning involved in the missions etc. The enemies are moved around the maps too so that each time you play its different

Oh yeah I forgot about that one, is swat 4 the latest one? I had one of the FPS swat games but think it was the previous one to Swat 4.

Clever game that, Bang and Clear baby :)

Are there anymore RTS Co-op games like Generals or Red Alert out there?
