rik
Not looking forward to this at all. Going to the dentist first thing tomorrow to have this bad boy pulled, been giving me jip for years. I remember a mate having this done a while ago, and he looked like he'd done a few rounds in the ring with Mike Tyson. Bad timing really as it's my anniversary this weekend, and i know it's still going to be really painfull. Anyone else had this done, what am i in for? Dont hold back, tell it like it is:scared:
Homer
I had one pulled a couple of years ago - and contrary to what most people say it was virtually painless. The worse part was the injection to kill the pain, I'm a complete wimp when it comes to needles! The dentist told me a lot has to do with the size of the tooth and the root, mine was quite small so came out easy but for some people with large wisdom teeth it can be painful. Apparently if you've had braces in the past it makes it much easier...
jamesmark
You will be fine, my sarah has just finished her treatment on getting 9 teeth removed as she had a rogue dentist, and one of her teeth had to be removed without any local
Shovels
I had this done some time back now. I went to sleep after the op - I had all 4 out, so was put under - Anyway - my mouth was watering and I kept swollowing...Needless to say I woke up in the middle of the night with a cold face... I put the light on and saw that my pillow had turned red. Yep, my watering mouth was a torn stitch which had been bleeding all night turning my white pillow rather red. I got out of bed and rang for a nurse to come - they sorted me out and all was fine.... Ohh apart from the big clot of blood that came out of my nose about 3 days later whilst walking along! anyway... don't worry i'm sure it'll be fine
Alan999
Nothing to worry about really if the teeth are already through the gum the worsed ones are when they have to cut your gum and pull the things out just afew needles and some stitches. I think the worsed part of having teeth out is the crunching noise and the pulling ive had 14teeth out in all 4to make room for when i had braces and 10were baby teeth that wouldnt come out, you should have seen the size of the buggers! Anyway good luck fella and dont worry about it.

R3DG3CKO ROB
Went to the dentist for a filling about a month ago and she pulled a wisdom tooth out instead, fairly painless but depends on the length of the roots you'll be fine
rik
Well, turns out it weren't too bad. The tooth was well exposed and completely laying flat. They told me i'd be given a conscious sedation when i got there, which worried me a bit. The word 'conscious' and 'tooth extraction' dont go hand in hand in my book! But he told me that although i'd be conscious, i'd be completely out of it and would feel nothing and remember nothing after! Sounded good to me I've been asleep most of the day and am only now getting my head together, and the pain ain't too bad either. So all in, the job's a goodun. Tigger
Had all 4 out last year. Lots of blood and a few stitches. had to stay in for a few extra hours until it stopped. But other than that No bruising and very little swelling. Good luck
