JustGav
Hmmmm, Mind you, if you have paid £440 and zurich are covering it, why complain as such, after all you are insured for £440.. Although I can't work out why they would honour the scam...
Sheefa
Guys, I work for Zurich Insurance and I've just spoken to our motor fleet manager. Ok, that's on the Commercial side of things but nobody has any knowledge of this Personal Lines incident. Hmmm. Anyways, this is actually not an uncommon thing. Not that smaller niche insurers are scamming, but offering premiums below the technical price is a sure we to failure. A couple of claims involving third parties would probably total a wipe out of around 200 of their policies. Well done on reporting this to the FSA. Although I think it'll be more a police matter now than an internal audit from the obudsman men!

Max Headroom
On further investigation ; the company were NOT repeat NOT legitimate , the owner has trousered the money around 3000 policies @£440 each and done a bunk, leaving a trail of marketing companies chasing their money! the zurich insurance co are I believe still honouring the policies as a gesture ,as I was informed the owner was an ex employee. the Police are now involved and investigating and in hot pursuit ( that means they havent left the canteen yet ,and he is away like a long dog- on a beach someplace) I have informed the FSA and you lot now . I make that 1.32 million less some initial outlay! Its the old adage "If it looks too good to be true, it is!!" and I have just read the post before this one, anyway it doesn't affect me as my premium is £
