Simon
Has anyone any experience of using exhaust wrap or turbo wraps. I can see how they might reduce under bonnet temperatures but the heat has to go somewhere and I don't think I would want any extra heat in the turbo's. Would the extra heat cause any damage furhter down the system - certainly keep the interior warmer at floor level.
Guest Ash
Turbos run on heat so the hotter they get the faster they turn (within logical limits, of course). Such wrapping products are great for getting a racing edge on a track or a rally, and the like. But they have no real place on a road-car where components like manifolds and turbos are expected to last tens of thousand of miles... as opposed to tens of hours.
