My New Miami Gt Exhaust ;-)

For those interested in the Miami GT exhaust.

Collected it from DHL on Weds after they managed to lose it for a week. This was the day of the Big security scare at uk airports.I was lucky not to be shot after wandering around with a package resembling a rocket launcher/bazooka and being within firing distance of Exeter Airport

Got it home without incident.Very well packaged with a mile of bubble wrap and cardboard.Once unwrapped it is a thing of beauty with fully polished pipework.

The pipework is not mandrell bent , but has very high quality welded bends which are not very sharp and so should not restrict flow.

The hangars are of equal quality.

The exhaust came complete with a restrictor plate and a removable, adjustable baffle.Which have not been fitted as I only have a second decat and I want noise.

This exhaust was to replace my TRD exhaust which was far to quiet with its huge silencer.

Fitting was easy and a perfect fit . Connected to the Chris Wilson second decat without a problem as expected.

The only thing I had to change were the rubber exhaust mountings, as the ones I had were too short and caused the silencer to rub against the rear bumper. This caused a vibration in the car, which is now gone with the fitment of slightly longer rubber exhaust mountings.

Clearance has improved over my TRD exhaust and I can now drive over speed humps(full length type) without grounding the exhaust. The only type to still cause a problem are the square ones if you drive over them with a wheel either side(catches the flange between the 2nd cat/decat and the exhaust).Better to drive down the middle of the road.

A few pics of the exhaust on the car and then the best bit. VIDEOS!!

The sound is awesome on full power and has a nice deep rumble/burble on tickover.

check out the vids and decide for yourself.

I'm very happy with it.

Nice one Paul.....................................

Supra TT VVTI with Miami GT exhaust and second decat.

With dB meter

At idle

It actually just goes over 110dB but I didn't have the meter set for over 110dB.

lockys96 whats the db, with the baffle fitted?

no track days for you boy, and you havent removed the first cat, so what will it go up to then

I havn't tried it with the baffle in as you need to drill through the end pipe to fit it.It would probably shoot out if not fitted correctly.

I would imagine it would make quite a difference as it can be adjusted.

That a great review matey, been waiting to hear from you about this as i'm after something to replace my dragger, have been for a while. Whats it like inside the car noise wise, mainly on the motorway?

Would quite like to see/hear it in person

Pretty quiet inside the car when driving through town.

Open roads with a bit of welly sounds great , but not too loud. You can still talk to a passenger without having to raise your voice.

Havn't tried it on a motorway yet, will let you know tomorrow.:eyebrows:

Where abouts are you ?
