Some vigilante in Hampshire has been going round slashing people's tyres because they have been spotted being on the phone..... Basically, they wake up the next morning to find tyres slashed and a note on the window.. Bit extreme but certainly gets the point across.... I'm not agreeing with the slashing of the tyres... but as someone who constantly sees people driving up and down the 15mph limit where I live watching people doing 30+ AND being on the phone while my kids are outside playing..........I just wish the police would do something about it. The note says something like WARNING - YOU HAVE BEEN SEEN USING YOUR MOBILE AND DRIVING it's cut out newspaper letters stuck on A4 paper! There was an ex Police officer in the article saying it's somebody who has the skill to follow these people home (scary!) or has access to DVLA or Police records or something. People in Gosport like to drive around at 10mph under the speed limit, and look genuinely pleased if they catch a red light... and it's one road in - one road out just to max out the frustration.... it's a great place to drive around... mathew Posted August 14, 2006 Share Posted August 14, 2006 im sorry but if i caught someone slashing my tyres because he/she saw me on the phone i would most probably end up doing sumthing i may regret to that person, and god help him if he still had the tool he used to slash the tyres with him. i agree you shouldnt be on the phone whilst driving but who the hell does this person think he is????? anyone know if he dresses up for the part like a proper wanabe superhero??
