Vaughany
I have just changed my stock intercooler hoses for some Samco Hoses. When i changed the stock pipes i noticed a little smear of oil on the inside of the pipes. The car is a 1994 J-Spec and seems to drive excellent with no problems such as excessive turbo noise or smoke etc. Is this common or is the oil a sign that my turbos are on their way out. Like i said the oil amount was very small like a smear. I have'nt got the money to uprate my turbos yet and just spent £1000 on a CW SMIC, Heat shield and Intercooler/coolant hoses. If I have to buy new turbos aswell this month my missus will kill me.
michael
A small amount is normal, if it drips out when you remove the hose or it's pooled in the pipes then you have a problem. Keep an eye on it but don't panic just yet - I presume the car isn't smoking or anything like that?
