LeeT
Just go to your local autofactors and order some NGK BCPR7ES. They are about £2 each

BURT
Just go to your local autofactors and order some NGK BCPR7ES. They are about £2 each totally agree with you fella... i have replaced my denso's with he same, the thought of the plug tipping itself gives me the chills. you wont go wrong with NGK, they are as hard as nails matey, only downside is you will have to change them more often. Pig
NGK BCPR7ES I am being told these are for the mkiii engine. Im being told NGK BKR6EP - 11 I would i be better to go with 7 or 8?? Cheers Jon
Alex
As per my HUGE FAQ on the subject... The BKR6E and all other BKRxE's are the STOCK fitment from NGK. There is a slight difference between the BKR and BCPR which is why people run either or and that's the thickness of the coil plug connector. Basically the BCPR is thicker and so I would say if you run a BCPR7ES don't go back to the BKR7E's because the coil connector (spring inside the rubber) might have stretched and thus not give you a good connection. If you've only ever had the correct plugs in then the BKR7E's will be the best bet.

Guest dee_rz
I have a set of 6 BKR7E's here, i just bought 12 as i like to keep some ready for when i change just put 6 in mine ready for my big single which should be on the road this weekend maybe, i didn't really want to sell these but i'm quite willing to help someone out if need be, have you sorted yourself anything yet? Alex
Nothing is wrong with IK24's however because they don't break under detonation it's "easier" to melt a piston on a badly setup car.
Pig
Got them ordered for tommorrow now. Thanks for the offer dee. I love your spark plug thread alex...however, im VERY easily confused. Can i just confirm that i do nothing with the gaps. could my spark plugs poss be the problem why when i put my foot down, sometimes the car starts running really lean, then i lift straight away. Its not all the time and its at 0.9 bar. When this happens the EGT start to rocket, then the car smokes loads for a while till it cools down. Alex
NGK Copper plugs need to be checked for gap. They should be 0.7-0.8mm (all the same but your choice as to which). Denso Iridium's do not need to be gap checked.
Guest dee_rz
i thought it should be 0.0031 ?? so different to both you two i may be wrong i'm sure the u.s guys run that gap no probs pig glad you have it sorted
Lucifer
Depends how much boost and heat you are running. Thats why having even spark plugs setup properly counts towads the final BHP.
