mikeyb10supra
just got my car back running again after a FMIC install and found a rather strange sound when coming on boost, I can only discribe it as the noise the air makes if you squeeze the neck of a baloon and it squeels out?? Any ideas, could it be a lose joiner?? Cheers Mike

wkdtime
Noticed any loss in boost? Black smoke? (this would indicate a boost leak), check the I/C piping bud!
mikeyb10supra
spray wd40 around the joints when revving it will show if you have a leak I was thinking about doing this but mine is an auto so wont make positive boost at a standstill ive come to the conclusion that it must be the intercooler as it only happens once I start making positive boost.....sounds like aloud squeel thats the only way I can describe it

Guest dee_rz
Yep had it happen before and it was a boost leak, glad you've got it sorted bud
kosmic
I was thinking about doing this but mine is an auto so wont make positive boost at a standstill I can in mine. If you need to check for leaks like i did then try this. Handbrake fully on, left foot hard on the brake and give it some accelerator until you start making positive boost, you'll soon hear and air leaks. (Dont try this for too long though). Glad you got it sorted
