Spelling, Grammar etc does it really matter?

Surely no one can judge what a person is like by the fact that they can't spell, or have bad grammer ?. Neither means someone is lazy or thick does it ?. All i'll say is that txt talk has a place in txt conversations, but it can be a pain in the arse to read on here. But then maybe i'm just getting old... :D

Well that could mean ones of 2 things.

1) The comments other members have passed about him at meets are true.

What I'm like at meets? Or what people at meets have said?

Comments from people that do know me IRL?

2) He has an opinion on me and he wont speak to me.

I have an opinion about what I think you're like but it's only a guess based upon what you have posted on here. I would happily talk to you.

If truth be told he was actually busy when I tried to talk to him so I took no offence
Was I rude/short with you at TOTB4? I didn't mean to be but I had the world's worst hangover that day. Sorry :(

I did the same to Kopite too but I was feeling rather queasy at the time.

I don't think it's the spelling. No offense to Steve (black cat) but he's not the best speller in the world and I still understand what he's saying (well, most of the time ;) )

It's the way people write. Like Jake said certain people lately have been writing strangely and I don't know what it is but I just can't read some of it, lots of sentences without punctuation, loads of lols it's just weird.

I know my dad would have a nightmare on here because he's one of the worst spellers I know, but he's a very intelligent man, so how does that work?

Hmmm.

If you're not at every single meet how can you expect anyone to judge you on anything other than the way you are on here?

It doesn't really bother me, some people can spell, other's can't. You can usually make out what people are saying or what they mean. Its good for a piss take sometimes, though i've not taken the piss myself. :) .

its supra...not stupra :D

Disagree

If one has a genuine reason then fair play....if one deliberately uses poor grammer and fails to spell correctly deliberately...then its a sign of laziness or pure incompetance.....and that definetely reflects character.

Look at the standard of spelling and grammer in this thread... :D

I think we're making progress.
