Won't that just hold in the heat to a degree?

The heat is coming from the inside, not an external source.

Edit: Thinking about it, I guess not. Must look nice though :)

I have a 3800 stall. I like the box, just make sure you have good cooling. I run two coolers and one has a 7.5" spal fan. Also I think a T/C lock up switch is a good idea to help keep the heat down when your just cruising about.

sorry for the hijack  i have a precision T67 fitted to my car and thinking of going down the hi-stall route, my car is my daily run about and work horse. is a 3800 suitable for a daily drive car.

all depends where you are hitting the "sweet spot" mine makes boost at 2800 so decided the 3200 stall was enough for me, with a T67 you are going to be making bost higher up the rev range so probably need a higher stall T/C
