ref to decat ,can we clean up the catalytic

hi rather going for a new decat pipe ? can we cut open up the existing catalytic box and remove the stuff and weld back in position,does this help process of decating ?next add up the stuff like FCD & fuel pump upgrade and etc,any opinions please .can it be a MONEY SAVER for our members?

You leave the O2 sensor where it is , it's fitted before the !st catalyst.

 

You definately need a FCD as the higher boost you'll be getting will produce fuel cut.

 

Most of us fit a Walbro pump just to be safe, a J spec pump might be adequate, I'm not sure.

 

A boost gauge will be needed aswell unless you want to risk blowing the turbo's.

 

1.2bar is what most of us don't go above, a restrictor ring might be required.

 

I'm not sure of the quality of fuel available in India, this would limit my desire to anything in the first place.

iam running on 97 octane fuel,can you tell me about restrictor ring,i got a boost gauge fixed i==on my subaru sti hope i can refix onto this,fuel pump we can make it run on 12 volts continuosly,hope this helps, FCD which is better?
