wkdtime
Jazz, turn your air con on mate and see if the revs die out then.

wkdtime
have you tried holding the gas pedal to keep the revs up? if so does it still cut off?

wkdtime
Jazz i had a similar problem after the bat had died, keep your foot on the pedal until the car idles freely, and if you can take it for a nice long sprint. It will clear up, nothing to worry about im sure.

Alex
Does the rev gauge move at all? If not then it's a wiring fault to gauges if it idles fine.
wkdtime
Does the rev gauge move at all? If not then it's a wiring fault to gauges if it idles fine. He said it fluctuates between 0-650, its just idling really really low, hence engine cuts out.
Alex
He also said he got it stable but that the rev counter didn't move...

Whitesupraboy2
you have said before mate you havent been driving this car, which petrol is in it im presuming optimax?!?! im also guessing you havent driven it for a few weeks and used all the petrol as you said you wont drive your car. Optimax starts to go off after a couple weeks. so im saying: 1. your petrol has gone off (i.e giving lumpy / low idle) 2. maybe you got a dry solder point on the back of the dash causing faulty rev problem
