Anyhooo...

ghosts, i work for our local councils housing management company. quite a few years ago (way before i began working here) there were reports of one of our houses having strange goings on..random water leaks, banging doors, cupboards breaking etc. these supposedly got worse and ended up with cuttlery being thrown and crockery smashed.

explainations couldnt be given and the water leaks couldnt be traced. the council had samples taken from the damp patches, results were returned as unknown substances. the reports stated that the residents had seen figures and heard noises etc throguh the nights.

it turned out that the kids that lived there had done a ouigi (sp) board just prior to the goings on. the council eventually got the residents moved to a different propertry and had the suspected one excorsised. new tenets have moved in there since and have seen / heard goings on but they have supposedly been peaceful. ive not been in this property myself but when ever work is done in there we get a choice of not to go in, if we do enter the property, we must have an induction and risk assesments done! in case we get possesed im assuming. one of our inspectors was supposedly affected quite significently by this, after a visit to the property prior to it being exorcised, he became quite ill and violently sick for a few days. i dont really know the ins and outs of what happened to him but it was said he was an 'open' person and he'd had encounters with ghosts before.

weve got 3 IIRC haunted house in our stock, 2 are suposedly peaceful now however one of them is suposedly still quite volitile. i dont really know the background on the other two. the property which is suposedly volitile was used as a decant property to house residents in while we carried out work to their property, we had a large number of complaints back about strange things from there too.

it could just be once word gets round, people are seeing what they want to see...

all i know is i would not be pissing about with a ouigi board.

Last time I read anything about it there were 9 dimensions!! That was in the 90s some time IIRC.

My theory is different to those theories though, there could be any number of dimensions, each one controlling the previous.

Interesting thread, haven't seen any ghost myself though... phew! :D

Here's an explanation of the 10 dimensions

Then click on 'imagining the ten dimensions' in the navigation bar - needs flash

A strange story, just happened.

We had the vcr running to tape a tv show, but the show was over so I said to my sister that we could stop it now. At that moment the vcr stopped all by it self and went on standby ... The remote was lying on the table, nobody touched it, and we didn't set the timer  :taped:

I don't believe in ghosts, but have an open mind to the existence of things we cannot explain in any 'normal' way.

I don't believe in gravity, because it's a fact of nature. It's just there, and it's been proven by lots of things hitting the ground every day. :)
