Pabs
i must admit i keep playing with my camera - no real knowledge of using it yet (Nikon D70 with D70s firmware). Unfortunately i've only got a really naff 28-80mm lens thats worth about £30 and a 70-300mm thats not too bad for longer range shots. I did get some awesome photos from the BTCC at Thruxton and Donnington tho, but most of it was point and shoot I love your macro photos - very impressive
Thorin
Take the cam off auto mode and just play with shutterspeeds etc until you get results you want. I've mainly been using Aperture priority mode, but have used shutter priority mode for taking pics of water etc. using longer shutter speed. Going to have a read through the manual about the different metering modes as I reckon it's something to do with that why I'll get overexposed sky and underexposed foreground. If it were close up stuff I'd use fill in flash but the sort of shots I've been taking would be too far for the flash to make any difference. Oh and I agree Digital Photo mag is good, haven't read any of the others though so don't know how they compare. I'm interested more in the taking of photo's now I've got a good camera though and Digital Photo seems to focus more on photoshop stuff.
