Paul R
Hi, I had to brake pretty hard about 2 days ago as a car pulled out in front of me. The ABS didnt seem to work though and one of the wheels locked up and skidded. The ABS light comes on for a second or two when I start the car and the Traction control works. I checked in the little relay box on the drivers side of the engine bay and there is a ABS Sensor relay, but no ABS MTR relay. Could it be this?? If so why would it have been removed?? Cheers, Paul. Chris Wilson
I can pull the ABS codes if you want. Maybe a duff LHR wheel sensor after the work in that area? If it has RLTC that will self diagnose the sensors themselves. The ABS ECU self diagnoses pretty comprehensively if there is a fault, I have spent some time with a car with duff ABS.
