d9988
Hello. Just got a 94 TT auto recently. I did a search but could not really find an answer to my question about Traction Control. I understand that it may help with traction in rain/snow, however I only drive it in nice weather. Are there any gains in performance by leaving the switch off? merckx
Are there any gains in performance by leaving the switch off? I would say no for a standard car. On a standard car it would only cut in when the grip on the roads is low and so your performance wouldn't be hindered in nice weather unless you pulled away from a junction on some gravel. When the traction control operates a light on the dash illuminates and the power from the engine drops dramatically and it seams to take forever to get it back again, this can be potentially dangerous when you're pulling away from standstill onto the road when the road conditions are bad.
