imi
Hey Peeps Need some help. Yesterday while driving the car back I noticed that the clutch pedal behaving irratically. Sometimes it wouldnt come back up all the way. Sometimes when pressing the clutch, the pedal would be soft for the 1st inch of travel and then it would be ok (if that makes sense) and then it would sort itself out for a few miles... Car drives fine, doesnt seem like a slipping clutch or anything, picks up fine in 5th and 6th from low speeds... What could it be??
JohnA
Is it very hard to bleed the supra clutch? That would be my first thought. I do it on my bikes every couple of years, along with the brakes.

JohnK
Bleeding the clutch is simple, need 2 people though, the bleed nipple is very easy to get at with the car raised onto an axel stand front near side. Just follow the clutch fluid pipe to the box, is right next to where it meets the box.
JohnA
It's dead easy even solo, if you use one of those brake-bleeding hand pumps. Very useful tool, mine can also reverses for boost (goes up to 5 bar, useful for slowly pressurising actuators etc)
hadyn
Sounds like your clutch is on its last legs mate...

Mike B
I had a similar problem on mine and I adjusted the cable that connects directly onto the pedal, in effect raising the bite point from close to the floor to the upper end of travel and it was fine after that. Still your problem may be totally different - just thought it was worth mentioning!

I was under the impression all supras had hydraulic clutches
