Max Headroom
Why not be different, and dont have a tattoo
Laura
Why not be different, and dont have a tattoo Not that different to the majority of the population me thinks? Most people have tattoos as an expression of who they are, a story they have to tell, something that means something to them. Some people have tattoos that I don't like, but chances are they got them for a reason. Yeah ok alot-alot of people have them now but i don't think having one means you are following a trend or makes you a slave to fashion. Rant over, thank you. Laura
Whatever you do don't scratch, even with a sponge in the shower or anything! Keep it out of the sun too for the rest of summer. I had my biggest one done, then a few days later went to Rhodes (i was young!) and had to have another hour's work done when I got back cos of the damage i had done! Oh and scratching makes clear holes in it, looks crap and going over it again shows.

Jake
*** Warning : boring Jake story ahead *** This guy Tony Malo I used to know was a really good freehand artist and decided to set himself up as a tattooist. Not that he knew anything about tattoing, he didn't even have any tattoos himself at the time - but how hard could it be, right? So he bought all the gear out of the Exchange and Mart and set himself up in a little shop. The first customer that came in wanted a butterfly on his chest, Papillon stylee. So Tony draws a butterfly, the guy liked it and they went straight ahead and tattooed it on the guy. As he was doing it the customer commented that it didn't hurt as much as he was expecting. He'd heard all the horror stories from other guys that already had tatts about what agony it was but he said actually it was quite bearable. A few days later the same guy comes into the shop again. Tony asked if the guy wanted another tattoo but no, actually he had a complaint. The guy pulls some tissue out of his pocket and unwraps this large peeled scab with a complete butterfly tattoo in it! Tony was like WTF? Apparently the guy was in the bath trying to loosen the scab by soaking it and when it came off there was no tattoo left on his chest! It turned out that Tony wasn't setting the needle depth anywhere near deep enough! No wonder all his customers that first week said that it didn't hurt much! Kittyclaws
Best stuff to put on Tattoo's afterwards is Lasonil ( not sure on spelling) it is mainly for piles, but also for soft tissue injuries, I have 5 Tats, and have used this stuff on all of them,, Tattoo fully healed within 5 days,

Very subdued rant there Laura, Both my brothers have tattoos and both regret it now and wish they never had it done. Both had skulls and crossbones. I have never fancied a tattoo myself but may get one when I am 85. Oh and make sure your tattooist can spell, guy wanted ELVIS tattooed on his fingers, the Tattooist did E-V-L-I-S. Boy did we laugh!! Fair comment, I guess your brothers were too young or hadn't given it much thought. Takes alot of forethought to make sure you don't end up like that. I guess at 85 you won't have enough time to regret it!
