Jake
I need a new bluetooth GPS reciever for using TomTom on my XDA2 (PocketPC) I'd like one of those newer ones I've heard about that can work from inside the glovebox. All this balancing the receiver on the dash is a pain. I've seen a few on eBay but I don't know which are good and which to avoid. Anyone got experience of these? Thanks
michael
Holux GPSlím 236 SIRF III so doesn't need to see the sky, decent size and takes standard Nokia sized batteries so you can carry a spare if you want. No complaints so far on my XDAIIi.
S7EVE
Jake, I use the Nokia SPV M2000 and picked up a cheapo GPS receiver from Ebay, works a treat though, had no problems at all. One like This
Ben-san
How about the one Tom Tom make? Had this for my iPAQ before I went standalone.
Fifty
Tom tom here Jake bout 80 quid from handnav.co.uk works reaaly well. m8 has the holux mentioned also good. On a more amusing note my powered cradle fell to bits yesterday - hand nav is going to replace for free! Rich:D
michael
I'd like one of those newer ones I've heard about that can work from inside the glovebox So none of the SIRF II ones people are mentioning will be suitable. I have my Holux in the door grab handle, it never fails to get a lock.
Jake
Thankyou gentlmen. The one Michael mentioned looks like a good bit of kit. Prices seem to vary a lot on those. I just missed one that went for £29 + £14P&P from Hong Kong.
