Guest dee_rz
i've been told to stay away from these, in theory it should be great but most of these short shift kits can damage the gearbox as the throw is fairly short out of the factory and has been designed for a reason with that throw, apparently there is only a few short throw kits of high quality and there the ones that cost a hell of alot of wedge for what they do, i'd say don't bother, just learn to shift quicker .....without crunching the gears in
gregsupra4
Jamie I have a B&M one fitted to mine and quite frankly I wish I had not done it. Next time you are down have a try of mine and see what you think. PS mine cost $198.

Soonto_HAS_soop
I bought a similar one from ebay about 2 years ago and it's been fine since then. The one I got only really moved the pivot point up the shaft by about 5mm and then shortened the stick itself. It is fine for changing gears, and also allows me to change CDs when in 1st, 3rd and 5th now. Down side is that all the outer covers are now aluminium and they can get very hot in the sun, and can get very warm with hard driving due to the heat transfer from the gearbox. Soonto_HAS_soop
Forgot to say that mine didn't come assembled and had no instructions so took a while of head scratching to figure out the correct method for assembly.

Next time you are down have a try of mine and see what you think. Got to agree with Greg here. The B&M one on mine is horrible, its coming out asap. You're welcome to take it for a drive on Saturday, but guess you've got the message by now
