Tom Tom 300

Been offered one for £150 (not off a lorry) second hand from a bloke moving abroad.

 

Any good? Don't really know anything about them. Heard Tom Tom are ok but don't know much about the models.

The Tom Tom Go units are very good all in one units. The 300 is the lowest spec of the old range. The lowest spec of the new range is the 510 and that is about £350 so £150 is a good price. You should be able to find some indepth reviews of it with a bit of help from Google.

 

I have Tom Tom mobile on my phone which uses pretty much the same software and it is fantastic. Very clear and easy to use.

Make sure it works though. I'm currently sat here doing battle with my sister's TomTom Go300 which refuses to let me install additional maps for some weird reason.

 

The guy is selling it because he's moving abroad? I would have that would more reason for him to need one!

i had the 500 and went through 3 of them in as many months,

given up and gone back to the maps!

cheers guys. had a look at a review but something from a journo who has done one journey is no where near as good as a review from peeps living with them day to day. Case in point above!

 

not sure i'll use it too much. As a bloke i resent maps
