Thought this thread had died off, but it seems there are more and more 'Supra DJs' emerging all the time :D

Michael, I will come down and see you as promised before, and take you for a ride in single conversion, just as soon as I get the bloody thing to run properly for more than a day at a time!

Pneumoni, Im gonna look at the Ableton thing tomorrow I swear ;)

Everyone else, As expected, overwhelming support for the Technics and rightly so. Technics it is then! My record collection will be so happy :)

Willson, I may well be in touch about that offer mate. Just need to resolve a pay disput at work and not get fired in the process :innocent:

Is that stand alone software then or have you got to get cd j's aswell? must admit it does look pretty tasty. Is it easy to use?

its standalone software .,

all you need is a bunch of WAVS or mp3`s and your away .,

once the program is loaded there is a instructional step by step thing in the program that helps an awfull lot.,

i followed the guide and from then on i had it sussed :innocent:

for example.,#

each key on your computer keyboard can be set up to be a chanel mute,. a eq kill switch ., you can launch clips etc.

like me,.

i have like 20 tracks standing by to mix but i have little samples - say an intro of just choirs or spoken words from a film - all treatable with built in effex :)

but the instructional part in the program realy gets you rocking:)

in fact i did my 1st live mix last saturday nite and it went out on internet radio.,

i did a 50 minuite set - but made about 20 mistakes., like bringing in the rock tracks n stuff, but i enjoyed it ;)

it was recorded :)

Answers in the next 3 hours please people.

Got a pair of Technics 1210 mk3's on offer to me.

Been reading up and found several people (probably out of a million) that are saying the pitch reset button can go wrong, and if it does, causes major problems with everything else.

So, MK3s or not MK3s, that is the question.

Tom, MK3's were only around in the UK for about 6 months then they released the MK5's and kept the MK2's as current stock.

Technics don't go wrong!!! period!!! unless you fiddle with then trying to make it go faster or putting a blue led kit when you don't know what you are doing. I've never heard of a reset button going wrong on any of the thousands we must have sold by now!!

Good luck mate!
