flyin_scouseman Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Hi all, i am gonna have to do an oil change next weekend as i am installing a oil cooler . Now, i've read a few articles regarding what oil to use..... by the time i do my oil cooler, my motor will be BPU. I asked Toyota and they say 5W-30 engine oil is good but i read on the forum that 10W-50 is also good. My motor was previously owned by Tdraper and he had the services carried out by Phoenix. He said they may have used the 5W-30 but he ain't too sure. Anybody got any suggestions as i've looked on the service receipts and it doesn't give me any idea, plus the car will be putting out more power. Should i get 10W-50? What brand?
