Sub_Culture
Having a sort out, and I still have two litres of the flip paint I used on my RX7. This really is a beautiful flip, and would be enough to do a whole car. I bought 4 litres to do my RX7, and used just under 2 on the whole car AND the boot install, so should easily go over a reasonable sized car. Cost me £150 per litre.... will let 2 litres go for £150 all in. Can go over a variety of base coats, but have put a couple of pics up to give people an idea. This is it over a red. Simon
What reducer do you need to use with this please and what type of lacquer on top of it. Would 2k lacquer be ok.
Sub_Culture
Reducer? Just standard paint thinners, mate. And yes, 2k lacquer would be fine. I used ICI. Andy

mr keef
also these flip paints is it a case of using a metallic basecoat?then painting the whole car in the flipcoat, then laquer?
Sub_Culture
The basecoat is a flat colour, no metallic. The base is put on, then the flip after the basecoat has dried. Keep putting it on until it has reached your personal desired level! I got it from a company in Stevenage, forgot their name! Its a HoK replica. Bloody good stuff, though! And much much cheaper.
