merckx
I'm going to be spraying some 2 pack lacquer shortly. Are there any face masks other than the air fed ones that will stop me breathing in the toxic isocyanates. I emailed Moldex, they don't do one. Thanks

gledo1970
Cartridge masks are a complete waste of time if using any 2k paint, high end paint manufactures have removed isocyanate from there clear coats. solid paints and primers but most 2k actvator still contains isocyanate.cartridge masks can only filter organic particles.isocyanate will pass straight through.the only way to be 100% sure is to use a full air feed mask.trust me i own a bodyshop and have been painting cars for over 20 years. gaz1
we sometime,s use some real bad chemicals and you can get ppe masks to do the job, although if your doing it all day every day then air fed masks is the way to go, but the one,s we have used have been good for the jobs we do, now where,s that 3 headed labourer gone:d
