ECU/Closed loop Question.

Large throttle openings or high opening rate will shift to open loop providing the RPM an load are sufficient I believe,

I think it would be similar for the N/A, however I still think the MAP sensor voltage must also be a factor for TT at any rate, as this will

be used by the ECU for part of load calculation, doesn't the N/A have MAP as well?

Cold start is just that, a separate part of the map and only triggered by the coolant temp sensor, once the engine is up to a certain temp the ECU coolant temp sensor is ignored,

Just for reference IAT is only used to effect mild tweaks to the fuel mix and of no further influence.

Yea the na has map too. High opening rates can be control by the acceleration adjustment map with emu it was more the closed loop area I was concerned about but we will see. Cheers guys ANC sorry again for the long lost thread, I suppose this is what happens when older tech is used

  • 1 year later...

I have been looking at some of my logs regarding this as I have changed my manifold and down mid pipe so have gain some spool up time ,

from my logs I see with part throttle you can still make over 0.6 boost and still be in closed loop under 4000rpm this was confirmed by the fic map and stock map voltage table , the log shows 4,300 by the time the afr's are down ito the 11's

I will try and have a play tonight with fudging the stock map voltage to force open loop but from what my logs are saying map reading really doesnt force open loop.

cuting the o2 feed back might though lol
