markssupra
Thanks, always nice to hear other peoples comments about a resort. Cant wait. If we get time, we might do that jeep safari, all that laying around and drinking the time just flies by. Have a good one in Crete Mr Prawn. milocoon
Its Oludeniz BTW ! If you are staying in Hisaronu or Ovacik these places are up the hill from Oludeniz and its a 60p Dolmus ride down to the resort (a little scary) ! Recommend a boat trip (12 Islands or 5 Islands) for about £10 each for a whole day including lunch, Efes (in my opinion this is better than Stella Artois) turkish lager on the boat will be about a £1 a bottle. If you`re into flying try a tandem paraglider from the top of the mountains, about 45 minutes in the air and then they land on the beach, prices vary but book all of your trips from the beach as much cheaper than your tour rep BTW ! Jeep Safari I`m told is brilliant but you will get dusty and wet so protect your camera if you take one. Hisaronu is worth a visit, its a little bit like a Turkish Blackpool with bars and restaurants touting for business. Silver is cheap here as well. There is also a market once a week. Fethiye which has a big boat harbour is a Dolmus ride away and worth a visit, this has a bigger market than Hisaronu. It will be hot so take loads of High Factor sun cream. You`ll love it, I`ve been to 3 different parts of Turkey now.
Taylor
Hisaronu is worth a visit, its a little bit like a Turkish Blackpool with bars and restaurants touting for business. I have been to hisaronu for the last 3 years and absoluty love it...but i think the locals would be a bit offended to liken it to a dirty english holiday resort!! the place is great, always hot and the locals are really freindly too. you will love it! squiffy
i went to Oludeniz about 4 yrs back, nice place the the locals hassle you a lot more then other places ive been! bloody apple tea!!!!
milocoon
My comparison with Turkish Blackpool for Hisaronu is that when I was last here the locals were really persistent and annoying when you wanted to just have a wander. There are many nice restaurants / bars / shops that are excellent, me and the missus had a humungous mixed grill and a few Efes each at a restaurant for about £18 and I struggled to get out of my chair. There are other villages that have traditional Turkish charm like Dalyan which is the real Turkey that I like most.
