A good mate of mine is getting hitched at the weekend and my silver supe is carrying him to the church!:) Anyone got any ideas of where to attach ribbon or any info on how to make metallic truly shine? a guy at work mentioned something about mul or mol or some kind of stuff that is used on all sorts of things. anyone heard of it????

What colours your supe? mines black and i use autoglym super resin polish, and then after polishing apply extra gloss protection. that gives it a nice deep shine.

Loop it through the bonnet catch under the bonnet. I did from mirror to mirror via this catch. It rubbed like buggery on the bonnet and needed a damn good polish to remove the fine scratches though. They did come out ok though.

just don't take a picture of it all :limp: 'ed up like that... it's just wrong..

lol!

This stuff is good for getting silver cars to shiiiiiine (my Supe's silver). See here for a quick review & photos showing a bit of the effect. For maximum effect;

wash it

dry it

clay bar it

polish it

then use that stuff ^^

Sweet! can you get it anywhere? clay bar?

Halfords sell the clay bar.

it's proper name is "Meguiars Quik Clay" and it comes in a black box which contains a spray gun of lubricant (ooh-err) and the clay bar itself.

There is a guide on that polished bliss website re: how to get the best out of a clay bar but it's a peice of weewee and has great results. My car felt like polished glass once I'd done it, and I really didn't put much effort or time in. :)

EDIT - just make sure you kneed the dirt into the inside often, and DON'T drop it as you will pick up all sorts of crud (some you can see and remove, but no doubt some you can't see/remove) that you don't want to then go scratching your car with! :Pling:
