Prof. Monkey Posted July 26, 2006 Share Posted July 26, 2006 would say it is not a wasp, as the majority of that insect group have profound detached abdomens, that picture shows the insect has a wide one-piece body. Dont know if anyone else has noticed that hover-flies are getting stripes like wasps, as a protection scheme. Perhaps this fly has adopted the same?
