Dyno question.

I always thought that when doing a power run or mapping that the guys operating the dyno did most of the readings in a gear 2 down from the top one, ie 4th on a 6spd, 3rd on a 5spd. Is this correct?? Reason im asking is because mine is in at a local tuners for mapping and checking over and he is doing all the runs in 3rd, which confused me a little.

Cheers.

When i left last night it was making 433 with the fueling still way off the mark. The guy reckoned it would make 450 when properly set up. Picking it up tonight so hopefully will know later. Still wondering though if running it in 4th will give me a higher power figure because if it does ill give them a bell and ask them to do it in 4th.
