Rising Sun Car Show - 12th / 13th August 2006

Once again, another possible large meet is offered to us, a little bit more north for us frugal people, who struggle to get to the plethora of meets down south.

 

It was brought to my attention my RedM as he was contacted by the organisers.........

 

August 12th / 13th

The National Trust - Nostell Priory -

Doncaster Road, Nostell, nr Wakefield,

West Yorkshire WF4 1QE

 

Some of the confirmed attractions for RSCS 2006 are:

 

- Free Camping for weekend ticket holders

- 600BHP Rolling Road Confirmed (Limited numbers so please book with the trader)

- Jtuner/Banzi Magazine Coverage

- FunFair

- Wide Range Of Traders Including ExhaustUK

- Excellent Facilities

- Show & Shine

- Concourse

- Club Stands

 

The prices of tickets stand at:

 

- One Day Ticket (Sat/Sun) £6

- Weekend Ticket (Including FREE Camping) - £10

- Under 14's Free

 

Please form an orderly cue, below and i can arrange to get some advance tickets, have them sent out to you. Unfortunately, I will be away for two weeks including the weekend this on, so I might have to pass the administration onto another trusted person...

Sorry Guys im doing the Lakes run on the Sunday instead have a good weekend .... might comeover on the saturday but unlikely :(

Right, I've asked for ten spaces each day for us. I'll most likely not be there until saturday afternoon.

 

Please take your club membership card with you and tell the parking dudes that you are parking in our section.

Did anyone else win any of the awards?

My can won 1st place in the "standard" category on saturday.

 

I beat a couple of Evo VIIIs, a Mitsi GTO and a pristine Honda Prelude (old style) but have to thank Sam from Honda Revolutions for not putting her immaculate 91 NSX up (it had already won in the Honda category earlier).

I like to think the relative rarity of a virtually stock Supra (entries had to be minimum 90% standard) and my original japanese manual and service log book tipped the balance.

 

Needless to say I am well pleased.
