DrivingTheDream
In my TT auto when I plant my foot down sometimes the car just revs it tits off like its not finding the correct gear. It usually happens when I hit the loud pedal hard at higher speeds. Is it the gearbox failing or me? Should I be using O/D instead...?
Rayman
Not sure, when did you last change the autobox fluid?
Scoboblio
I sometimes get this when I floor it at about 60mph... it kicks down into 2nd but I get no boost (well maybe 0.1 or 0.2 bar but that's it). Sounds very similar to common problem number 2 in IanC's FAQ Maybe the EGCV is getting suprised by the sudden demands of going from virtually no boost to number 1 going full on and isn't opening to spool number 2. Does this sound similar to your problem?
Ian R
Drive totally the opposite way to I do and you won't go far wrong
_Rob_
mine did this, i did a partial change a couple of times on the atuo box fluid and it sorted it out. try that..make sure you get the correct fluid. IIRC, toyota Type IV ATF, about 40quid for a gallon.

Im sure envy would use the right stuff too, maybe its something else other than the autobox.
